Education & Experience
I began my academic journey at Edinburgh Napier University in September 2020, where I developed a wide range of skills across various areas of computing, including software engineering, database design and development, and web technologies.
During my time at university, I gained valuable real-world experience through a group project in my third year. I took on the responsibility for backend development of the Men's Shed charity organisation website, which further enhanced my practical knowledge.
In addition to my university coursework, I have also worked on several personal projects to continue honing my skills and broaden my expertise.
Skills
The following subsections will display the programming languages and tools I have had the most experience working with.
Portfolio
The following subsection will present a number of both personal and educational projects I have done over the years.
I designed and implemented a portfolio website using Javascript and the react framework.
Designed and developed during my final year of university. I developed a digital planner application in python that uses a genetic algorithm to optimise user scheduels.
During my second year of university I worked within a group to create, manage, and test a world database. This was done using the Java programming language. Skills such as agile methodologies and JUnit testing were the main focus of the project.
